Carrier Continues Customer–Focused Strategy in Türkiye Through New Operating Model
Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its minority interest in the Alarko Carrier joint venture to Alarko Holding. Following the completion of the transaction, Carrier will implement a new operating model in Türkiye and assume distribution of its Carrier and Toshiba branded products, including aftermarket services. The new operating model supports Carrier’s broader portfolio transformation and reflects the company’s strategy to simplify operations, strengthen execution and bring the business closer to customers. In Türkiye, this evolution will support a clearer, more integrated HVAC offering across Carrier, Toshiba and Viessmann solutions, spanning residential, light commercial and commercial segments.
“Türkiye is an important growth market for Carrier, and this step reinforces our long-term commitment to customers and partners in the region,” said Faiz Afzal, Vice President, Sales, Carrier Climate Solutions Europe. “This evolution creates one face to the customer, bringing together a broad HVAC portfolio, industry-leading service and a powerful partner ecosystem. We sincerely thank Alarko for a successful partnership spanning many years and the strong foundation we have built together. Our focus now is simple: deliver continuity for our customers and partners while accelerating growth and creating new opportunities for the future.”
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Following completion, Carrier will continue to deliver its portfolio of Viessmann solutions while expanding access to its broader HVAC offering, with Carrier and Toshiba products, including aftermarket services. Carrier will assume responsibility for channel relationships and continue serving customers through its existing expansive network, supported by its VCS entity. Carrier's headquarters in Türkiye will remain in Istanbul, and Carrier, Toshiba and Viessmann teams will be co-located to best serve customers and partners.
